What says scandal more than covering up outright fraud with secret, illicit favors? And what could be more fake than to mix Apple up into a scandal that the it has nothing to do with? Again, imitation is the best form of flattery. There’s a cleverly written utility for the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet that mimics the on-screen virtual keyboard of the Apple iPhone. It’s written in Python, in case you care; looks really neat.

The iPhone-clone keyboard looks and feel similar the real deal but lacks the predictive text algorithm. Just because it looks and quack like a duck doesn’t mean it’s a duck.

No predictive text, but plenty of popup letter action, plus sliding. In landscape mode, the letters here seem to have a bit more breathing room between letters, esp on the 4-inch screen.

Bejeweled is possibly one of the most popular “match three” style games on mobile devices. Earlier today, PopCap Games announced that a custom version of Bejeweled is now available for the iPhone. This version of Bejeweled has been optimized for the iPhone’s display and touch input controls.
