iPhone Wikipedia gives connection-free reference library

Got 2.2GB of storage free on your iPhone (or iPod Touch) and fancy carrying around a wealth of knowledge to impress ladies, ace the pub quiz and generally come across as a Smart-Alec?  Then you’ll be wanting to follow Patrick Collinson’s instructions to put the entire English version of Wikipedia (minus extraneous links, unnecessary pictures and other rubbish) onto your cellphone, and never again be subject to the whims of a languorous EDGE connection when you’re desperate for another factoid.
